Up for sale is one manifold, modified from an original used European spec 1300 X19 manifold with the correct manifold angle to suit the unique tilt of the X19 engine, and a NEW (NOS) WEBER 36DCNVA carb. A DCNVA carb is just like a DCNF except it has a strangler flap type of choke setup (rather than the enrichment tube type choke of the DCNF) Very simple setup and install, with most of the performance of twin carbs, but without the balancing and setup issues and of course less expense. These 36DCNVA carbs already have a ported vacuum fitting, so can be easily used with a vacuum advance style distributor, giving a good balance of performance and economy. The setup for sale is one modified manifold and one NEW (NOS) 36 DCNVA carb for just $550au plus worldwide postage at cost. New Nissan Note production starts in Sunderland
Mon, 16 Sep 2013The New Nissan Note goes in to production The new Nissan Note arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and has turned in to a proper compact hatch – with plenty of kerbside appeal – instead of the rather bland small MPV it used to be. With better looks, some nice styling detail and lots of technology on offer – like Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning and Moving Object Detection, the new Note looks set to have much more impact when it arrive’s in Nissan’s showrooms than the old Note ever did. That point of view is given extra credence by the 14,000 orders Nissan has received for the new Note in Europe since it went on sale in July, and now the first Notes are ready to start rolling off the production line at Nissan’s plant in Sunderland.

Kodo design language has a lot to do with it -- Mazda North American Operations design director Derek Jenkins says that, thanks that Kodo styling, "the Zoom-Zoom genetic code is further being embraced, not buried, through increasingly expressive vehicle design." (Ugh.-ED) We didn't know genetics had anything to do with it, but hey -- tough to argue with the results. Perhaps Kodo's effectiveness is why Mazda's SEMA show concepts are fairly...restrained compared to what other automakers are bringing to Las Vegas.
