Product Description

11-Piece Brake Caliper Piston Tool

A must for relining rear disc brake calipers that incorporate a screw-type parking brake mechanism. Eight precision adapters to fit most cars with four-wheel discs. Includes 3/8" square drive adapter to use with 3/8 '' drive tools. Adapters engage piston, which is then screwed back into caliper to make room for new pads. Helps protect piston or boot from damage.

Excerpts of reviews.

Anyone that does their own brakes should have one of these.

No flash, no decoration, just brutally simple and fantastically useful.”

“I bought this set of tools in hopes of replacing the god-awful rear caliper 'cube' that I've tried to use -very- unsuccessfully over the last few years. All the cube managed to do was frustrate me, slip off the piston, and mash/pinch knuckles, hands, and palms...

I tried the tool out today and I tell you what, this thing works like a champ! It didn't take very long at all to compress both calipers, using the #5 insert and holding the sleeve with a 7/8" wrench, with no blood loss or fowl language!

I give it five wrenches for performance and value!”

“I've used this model for about ten years it’s exactly what we need to retract the rear disc brake caliper pistons.”

**********

“Local dealer wants $400 to do the rear brakes. Impossible to do without this tool, and it worked great. I will do all my brakes from this point on...this is something most people could learn to do themselves and save big $.”

**********

“This tool is better than the tool truck versions. The thin discs allow the tool to fit into the caliper on the rear of a VW, even when it came so far out the pads went metal to metal. Similar tools are too thick and require you retract them manually with the cube first. Especially with the VW systems, that's nearly impossible. And the quality of this set and the case it comes in is good. I haven't found a caliper yet that the adapters don't fit. I'm very pleased.”

**********

“First off, you don't need this tool. you can use a c clamp and some pliers to get the piston in with help from a friend. It is a pain in the @#! though! Get this tool if you want to make your life a whole lot easier. I changed my pads without a problem. You need the tool and grab an adjustable wrench to turn along with it. (you'll see what i mean when you try it yourself). Once I figured out how to use it, I did the other side's rear brakes in about 15 minutes...by myself. It

is good quality and already paid for itself considering about 400 bucks to change the rear brakes alone!”

Jaguar XF Sportbrake gets matching Jaguar Speedboat

Tue, 30 Oct 2012

Jaguar has revealed a Speedboat Concept at the first XF Sportbrake driving events to show how Jaguar design translates in other products. Before you get too excited, the Jaguar Speedboat isn’t a new item on the XF Sportbrake’s option list, but an exercise in translating Jaguar’s design philosophy in to an alternative product; one that fits seamlessly with Jaguar’s ‘Lifestyle’ pitch for the XF Sportbrake. Jaguar’s design guru, Ian Callum, said: We recognise that both our existing and future customers enjoy diverse and active lifestyles.

Peugeot RCZ confirmed

Tue, 14 Jul 2009

Peugeot has confirmed that the Peugeot RCZ will be at Frankfurt in September Peugeot has announced that the Peugeot RCZ (they’re not bothering with the ’308′ bit) will finally hit the roads in Spring 2010. It took a while. Which should mean the RCZ is well and truly sorted, or will it just mean it’s out of date before it even goes on sale?
