Fri, 03 Jun 2011Ford on Friday offered a glimpse of its assembly process for the Mustang Boss 302S race car by hosting a tour of the Niche Build Line adjacent to the Mustang assembly plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The Niche Build Line, when not assembling race cars, is where prototype vehicles are assembled prior to full production. Mustang bodies-in-white are first taken to an outside vendor, where roll cages are installed.

Tue, 19 Feb 2013We have the first interior photos of the Rolls Royce Wraith Coupe, and RR seem to be planning a V16 Roadster for 2017. This tease from RR on the Wraith is a pair of interior photos that don’t give away much, but do show the levels of elegance RR is working in to the Wraith, despite its sporting pretensions. We get a photo of the clock in the Wraith, a simple analogue white face with Blood Orange needle tips, a chrome bezel, Piano Black surround all housed in a chrome plate with ‘WRAITH’ and ‘RR’ prominently displayed.

Previously known as M1, the 600bhp supercar is now called M8 internally, and is being lined up as the flagship car to mark BMW’s 100th birthday in 2016. M division boss Friedrich Nitschke has proposed that the M8 shares the exotic carbonfibre and aluminium underpinnings of the i8 plug-in hybrid due in 2014.
