Mercedes is readying a new coupé version of the C-class for launch in 2011. Aimed squarely at the Audi A5 and BMW 3-series Coupé set, the new 2011 C-class coupé will revive the CLK range which many had written off after the arrival of the new E-class Coupé.In line with the new CL being rebranded S-class Coupé, the new two-door C will be badged C-class Coupé. It's due for launch in March 2011.So it'll be a mini E-class Coupé?

Audi e-Tron Spyder at the CES
Audi keep on dragging versions of their e-Tron out at any given opportunity, usually focusing on a different take on some form or other of electric and/or hybrid propulsion. Our favourite so far has been the Audi A1 e-Tron, which may seem odd to those of you who know of our penchant for the fast and exotic. But hybrid cars are best suited to urban environments – even more so electric cars – and the Audi A1 e-Tron’s combination of electric motors and a range-extending Wankel engine really floated our urban boat.

Saab issued one of the few genuine surprises of the Geneva show: the Phoenix concept car, designed to show the newly independent brand's stylistic future. Named after the Phoenix platform underpinning many of the company's future products including next year's new 9-3, the concept car is a dramatic coupe. It's the first car designed by Jason Castriota, the new design chief.
