Unbelievable SSC Ultimate Aero EV
Thu, 22 Jan 2009Prius was an easy way out for celebs who didn’t want their ‘Public’ to think them flash Jacks, but they always had a Cayenne Turbo or a Lamborghini LP640 tucked away in the garage. But the rise of cars like the Tesla, despite its drawbacks, has pushed the maker of the world’s fastest production car, the Ultimate Aero SSC, to look at ways to keep their clientèle happy in these changing times. Mercedes CLA employs a cat in new advert to demonstrate its aerodynamic shape (video)
Mon, 14 Apr 2014It’s the Mercedes CLA sliding cat advert We’re not entirely sure that Mercedes has chosen to focus attention on a cat in a new advert for the CLA to dig at Jaguar’s mickey-take of its chicken advert for Magic Body Control, but it’s definitely the cat that’s front and centre, regardless of the motivation. With the new Mercedes CLA boasting exceptional aerodynamic credentials, Mercedes has employed a stunt cat to slide up and over the CLA to demonstrate just how slippery their new compact saloon is. Already shown on TV in the UK at the weekend (during the new series of Britain’s Got Talent), the moggie in question – William, apparently – glides effortlessly over the CLA’s slippery shape to a soundtrack playing Rossini’s Duetto buffo di due gatti (which you may not think you know, but you do).
BMW 9 Series Concept heading for Beijing Motor Show debut?

We’ve only just had confirmation that a new BMW 7 Series SUV is on the way as BMW continues to push at both ends of their range, with the X7 aimed at the new Range Rover and Mercedes GL. Now it seems BMW are also looking to build a car that can take on the very high-end Mercedes S Class – especially the S Class Maybach when that arrives – and maybe scoop up a few sales from lower-end Rolls Royce and Bentley buyers.
