If you are looking to upgrade that old, tired Ford 289 for your 1965, 1966, or 1967 Mustang, Fairlane, Falcon or Cougar, this Ford 289 crate engine by Blue Monkey Performance would be an EXCELLENT choice. This 289 has enough cam to give it that muscle car sound but is still mild enough to be reliable for that everyday driver or restoration project. This engine can be used with a standard or automatic transmission. A mild or stock stall speed converter can be used if you are using an automatic transmission. This engine runs on leaded or unleaded premium pump fuel.

The 289 balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in this engine:

  • 2.870" stroke 289 crank
  • 289 FoMoCo rods with ARP rod bolts
  • Flat top pistons

More special features of this engine include:

  • Seasoned 289 block with 6 bolt bellhousing that has been vatted, magnafluxed for cracks, thermal cleaned and steelabrated, bored, honed and plateau honed to fit new flat top oversized pistons
  • Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good long lasting seal
  • New Comp Cam Hydraulic flat tappet mild performance cam
  • Heads have 3-angle valve job
  • Heads have 1.780"Int/1.450"Exh valves
  • Both heads have been resurfaced to ensure a good long lasting seal
  • New Hardened exhaust seats for use with leaded or unleaded fuel
  • New High performance springs set up to match cam

More than 300 senior members of the automotive design community will be attending the Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 ceremony to be held at Le Cab, Paris on 24 September, during the Paris Motor Show. 2012 Mercedes SL Official Photos Today we have official photos of the 2012 Mercedes SL, thanks not to Mercedes Benz, but a German car forum. Yesterday we had the first photo of the 2012 Mercedes SL after a scan of Mercedes new SL turned up on the web. We expected that leak would galvanise Mercedes-Benz to bring forward the release of official photos of the SL a bit ( we were expecting them tomorrow), but it hasn’t so far.
