Jaguar F-Type public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Thu, 21 Jun 2012Jaguar are giving the F-Type development prototype its first public outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s less than three months since we discovered that the C-X16 would be the new Jaguar F-Type, but there’s been plenty of news on the spiritual successor to the E-Type since then, even though it’s the best part of a year before the F-Type launches. We know that the F-Type will come not only with the new supercharged V6 but that there will also be a V8 supercharged version of the F-Type on offer which, if it gets the full fat 550bhp version, will be a very swift cat indeed.
New 2013 VW Golf Mk7 Price & Spec announced
Wed, 03 Oct 2012Price and specification details for the 2013 VW Golf MK 7 have been revealed for the UK. Starts at £16,300. Starting point is the Golf S 3-door with the 1.2 litre TSI engine the 84bhp at just £16,330 (less than the same MK 6 model), with a choice of both 3 and five door models across the range and three trim levels – S, SE and GT (the MK 7 Golf GTI won’t arrive until next year).

A record 1.18m cars, or 77 percent of production, were sent overseas. Britain’s record year for car production was 1972, when 1.9m cars were produced.
