 This auction is for a pair of 10 x 2 1/2" Bendix backing plates.These plates came factory installed on 69-70 Boss 302 Mustangs and Cougar Eliminators.They also fit 65-67 Shelby GT350 Mustangs although the manufacture numbers are not correct for those cars. These backing plates have been rebuilt by welding up the pads where the shoes ride and machining them back smooth.They are in excellent condition, I do have many other 9 inch parts available including dated cases,axles, K code and Shelby rear end and brake parts. call for more info 626 4887504.

Bentley SUV – the Bentley Falcon – close to production decision

The Bentley SUV – expected to be called the Bentley Falcon – is close to being officially signed-off for production. Within a month of that report we heard that Bentley had decided to give their new SUV the Bentley Falcon‘ moniker – a clear sign VW had decided to produce the Bentley SUV – and now we learn that the EXP 9 F Concept is ready to be signed-off as a production model - albeit with substantial changes to is design. Wolfgang Schreiber, Bentley CEO, has told Automotive News that Bentley is now close to making official the decision to build the Falcon and that it will get a V8 under the bonnet, and possibly the option of a W12 too.

Less than eighteen months since it debuted – and after just over 1,000 cars – Aston Martin is dropping the Virage. The Aston Martin Virage always seemed a bit of a stretch too far for Aston Martin, and so it has proved. After a lifespan of no more than eighteen months – and with just over 1000 cars built – Aston Martin has decided that there are just too few buyers who feel the Virage is enough of a step up from the DB9 to warrant the extra cost.
