CDN launches Car Design Awards China

The third annual Car Design Awards China is now open, and entries are invited from students of any design discipline who are studying full time at a college in China. They will work to briefs set by the design chiefs of OEMs including Daimler, GM, JAC, Nissan and Volkswagen.

New Audi A1 Sportback: The Five-Door A1 arrives for 2012

Audi reveals the new A1 Sportback 5 Door With almost two years of sales of the ‘Only Premium Car in its Class’ (Audi’s assertion), Audi has revealed the more practical version of its smallest car – the five-door Audi A1 Sportback. Visually, the five-door A1 looks just the same as the three-door A1 – with the obvious addition of a pair of back doors – but Audi has managed to 6mm in height and width which, they say, improves room in the back. Which it may, but as the length and wheelbase remain the same it won’t do anything for legroom.

Toyota GT 86 - apparently, it's as wide as a London Bus The Toyota GT 86 – which we all know as the Toyota FT-86 – has been revealed by Toyota UK ahead of its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show this week. It’s the Toyota GT 86, not the FT-86. But this is Toyota’s ‘affordable’ sports coupe that seems to have been coming since the new millennium arrived.
