Note: This is for models with a Push Button style rear hatch lock, meaning you push in the lock to release the rear hatch. • These are new locks from the same company that made them for Ford Motor Co. This is not a knock-off from china. Made by STRATTEC Security Company. Strattec makes locks for Ford, and in turn, makes them for Motorcraft (Ford). That is why our locks are cheaper in price - but not in quality! • Dealer price is over $168 for the parts and does not even count the keys! Toyota Verso gets updated for 2014
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Toyota Verso gets updated for 2014 We already knew the Toyota Verso MPV would be getting the option of a BMW diesel engine for 2014, but Toyota have a number of upgrades for the Verso to go along with the new engine. There’s a new trim level on offer – the Verso Trend – that slots in-between the Icon and Excel Versos – which gets a black C-Pillar decal to give the illusion of a floating roof, a bit like the Verso. Other additions for the Trend include a set of five-spoke alloys, front fogs and privacy glass with Toyota Touch 2 with Go adding in SatNav, connected services, Google Street View and TomTom Traffic info, front parking sensors and a rear view camera (part of the Touch 2 Package) to make parking easier.
Local authorities cashing in with CCTV fines
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Councils are turning to CCTV cameras and spy cars to raise £312m in revenue, that’s according to Traffic Spies, a report published by civil liberties group, Big Brother Watch. Using a series of freedom of information requests, the group has discovered that many councils are continuing to use CCTV to hand out fines, despite the government’s Surveillance Camera Code of Practice, which highlights the need to use CCTV for traffic offences “sparingly”. Council parking ’spy car’ gets speeding ticket Cameras to catch illegal parking on the school run Yet despite this, the number of CCTV cars in operation has increased by 87% since 2009.
