Up for auction is a tail light assembly  to fit a 1968 Ford Fairlane wagon. Please do your homework before bidding. This item is in excellent condition. It is not a show quality item, but rather driver quality. The lenses are excellent, as is the chrome. The unit comes with the housing, backup light pigtail, and the assembly- to- body mounting pad. All in excellent condition. The only numbers stamped/embossed are as follows: On the backup light lens, left side SAE-TSDBR-68 B FE, at the top of the lens FoMoCo, and TOP. On the reverse side of the metal housing, the following is stamped: SAE-TSDBR-68 B FE, and FoMoCo, and TOP. This unit is 13-1/2" overall length (top to bottom of the chrome housing), 5-1/2" overall width (side to side of the chrome housing).  There are places for 6 mounting screws, both in the housing and the mounting pad.  I do have a reserve on this item, and if the bids stop close enough to the reserve without reaching the reserve, you will be the new owner of this item. (The reserve does not necessarily have to be met, just close enough).Sold AS IS. Sales and shipping to lower 48 states only. I ship via USPS. Questions, please ask. Thanks for your interest.

And considering the company's main engineering focus, the two supercars it has built both qualify for CAR's landmark supercar status. The original GT40 was a rude shock to Maranello and took a string of racing victories home as proof; the newer GT was equally adept and more than one magazine placed it ahead of its Italianate contemporaries.

Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo sedan and wagon debut at Frankfurt motor show

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

Leave it to BMW's most pinstripe-stickered tuner to come up with a car just for automotive journalists. That's right: Alpina has built a diesel BMW 3-series sedan and wagon duo and has taken them to the Frankfurt motor show to taunt scribes whose countries will probably not be getting them, and that likely includes the U.S. Even though the D3 Bi-Turbo is diesel powered, fuel economy was not the first thing on Alpina's mind.

This is the BMW i3 Concept, a near-production preview of Munich’s new urban vehicle. Previously known as the Megacity Vehicle (MCV), it’s an all-electric carbonfibre and aluminium car that BMW will sell from 2013 as part of its new ‘i’ range – the i8 supercar has also been unveiled today. Both the BMW i3 and i8 concepts will be revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September.
