Ford Industrial 428 engine mounted in a 30KV generator unit. The hourmeter on the generator only shows 36 hours of run time. Engine and generator are running at this time. This appears that it was a back up generator. This engine is set up to run on CNG, compressed natural gas so it only has 36 hours of running time on it and it is most likely clean as can be on the inside. From the research I have found on the internet with these engines, the 428 industrial engines used a Cobra Jet block and crank and truck heads on them, they built these things to be bulletproof and durable. I am not an expert on these engines but it appears that this engine could be used for a 428 Cobra Jet car and probably does not have a VIN serial number stamped in it. I will do my best to answer any questions and to provide any more needed pictures, due to the location of the engine in the generator it is hard to get pictures but I will do my best. I have included a picture of the engine ID tag showing the engine is a 428. Please do your own research on this to confirm that it will work for your application.
