Ford Model A Distributor - Completely Rebuilt With Many New Parts on 2040-parts.com
National City, Michigan, US
You are bidding on one Model A Ford Distributor that has been completely rebuilt. This distributor was disassembled, bead blasted, cleaned and painted with Gloss Black Engine Enamel.
The bushing were new, I reamed them to 1/2" Dia.
This unit has new points.
A new point block - set at 20ths'
A new condenser.
A new shaft that has been drilled for an upper bushing oil passage along with the cam screw.
The used lower plate has a new style long wire soldered to it.
The oiler has been removed and the passage cleaned out, and reinstalled. It has an excellent B style cam. The unit was timed to my Model A and started immediately and ran very smooth on a six mile test run at different RPMs. The points and cam are lubed and the bushings are oiled. I also put a light film of Anti-Seize on the lower bushing housing to prevent it from rusting in the head. Look over the pictures and you will see what you will be getting if you are the high bidder for this very nice rebuilt distributor.

Whos Where: David Wilkie joins Mindset
Tue, 30 Sep 2008Design Director, David Wilkie, announced last week that he is leaving Bertone to take up a full time position at Mindset AG. Mindset is a new company run by Murat Günak, previously head of Design at Volkswagen, that is developing the electric ‘Commuter' car previewed by Car Design News in February this year. Car Design News spoke with Wilkie about the move, who explained that he'd been working for Mindset part time, leading the design of the Commuter interior for several months now, but "I decided that for the good of Bertone, and for Mindset, that I needed to commit full time to one position; and the appeal of having my hands-on as a designer was very strong; and it's a project I really want to see through properly!" Wilkie is still committed to carrying through several projects at Bertone over the next few weeks as he makes the transition to working with Günak with whom he studied at the Royal College of Art.

2009 BMW 335d, the AutoWeek Drivers Log
Thu, 27 Aug 2009MANAGING EDITOR ROGER HART: Anyone who thinks Americans won't warm up to a diesel car should drive one of these. I mean, 425 lb-ft of torque has a way of turning people's heads in a different direction. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more fun, more engaging commuter car, all things considered.
