When Breaking Bad met Top Gear: Aaron Paul and The Stig join forces
Fri, 28 Feb 2014We’re pretty sure the last thing we’d want to do is let Jesse Pinkman loose on a racing circuit – but since we are in fact capable of separating reality from even a hugely popular TV programme, these pictures of Aaron Paul taking on Top Gear’s Reasonably Priced car aren’t about to make us go cold turkey. Lexus CT200h (2011): UK prices, spec announced
Fri, 29 Oct 2010Lexus has revealed prices for its new CT200h - and they're pretty punchy. The base CT200h clocks in at £23,485, rising to a startling £30,635 for the SE-L Premier. Lexus says it's the first sporty hybrid, but can the new CT really woo drivers out of their cheaper Audis and BMWs? The CT200h is aimed squarely at the A3 and 1-series, but comes with just one drivetrain for now. The Lexus uses Prius hardware, so there's a 1.8-litre petrol mated to an electric motor to produce 134bhp - enough for the 1420kg CT200h to hit 62mph in 10.3sec.
Jaguar C-X16 concept scoops 'Design Concept of the Year' award
Tue, 16 Oct 2012The Jaguar C-X16 concept car has won Design Concept Car of the Year at the 2012 Scottish Car of the Year Awards. The two-seater concept – which acted as a teaser for the recently revealed production F-Type model – was first seen last year at the Frankfurt motor show and was designed to indicate Jaguar's future design direction. Collecting the award was Ian Callum, Jaguar's Director of Design, who said, "With the C-X16 concept, we set out to move Jaguar's award-winning design language on to the next generation, creating a car that is the very essence of future Jaguar performance." John Murdoch, association president, declared: "Many of these show stunners don't see the light of day but they are valuable for gauging public reaction to new ideas.
