Ex-Morgan Chief Designer forms Matthew Humphries Design
Thu, 20 Sep 2012The former chief designer at Morgan, has formed his own design consultancy, Matthew Humphries Design, in a bid to branch out into the worlds of bespoke cars and product design. Humphries will continue his relationship with Morgan in a partnership that will see the newly formed company help to develop future models for the independent British sports car manufacturer. The 28-year-old Coventry University graduate believes he can begin moving into the growing market for integrating automotive design elements into product design – such as furniture – and particularly British-themed products.

Thu, 17 Apr 2014Milan Salone, the city's annual furniture extravaganza, sees exhibitors in their thousands take over the halls of the Fiera Milano exhibition center in the Rho district. Its sprawling physical size dwarfs any motor show, making even the maze of Frankfurt's Messe seem compact, while the list of exhibitors can be plain overwhelming. Trying to contain the creative force of nature that is the world's largest design fair in one venue simply isn't possible, either.
2009 Mini Convertible Springs In
Fri, 28 Nov 2008It’s been a bit of a ‘Mini-Fest’ this week, what with the Mini E in Berlin and the news that the Mini is the least depreciating car in the UK. And now we have the first official images of the new Mini Convertible, due to hit showrooms in Spring 2009. Based of course on the latest Mini, the convertible keeps the familiar face, but has a raised shoulder line to accommodate the soft-top.
