Listed is a very high quality fuel filter unit made by Fram. This filter was widely used in the 1980's through 2000. It is actually better than most modern filters as the paper element that goes in it is a very good particulate filter. The size of the canister also makes it a great water separator. Can be used for gas or diesel. Element easily attainable (Wix 33110, napa 3110) and inexpensive. Drain plug drains water. Complete with mounting bracket. In/out ports are 1/4" npt. Marine Discounters (used parts division) buys salvage and unwanted boats and parts them out. I only buy boats here on lake Erie, as such only good/saleable FRESH WATER parts will be found. Credit Cards taken over the phone. Additional handling charges apply to international shipments. Any item purchased, and not picked up within 30 days (paid or unpaid) will be resold. Feel free to ask about these or any other used parts you may need from deck cleats to entire engines. Marine Discounters 419-625-0605. Fisker about to be bought by Volvo’s Chinese owner Geely?
Mon, 18 Feb 2013It’s reported that China’s Geely – which bought Volvo from Ford – is about to take a majority stake in Fisker Automotive. But Fisker has run in to big problems when its battery supplier - A123 Systems – went bust leading to Fisker production grinding to a halt. That has now been resolved with China’s Wanxiang Group buying up A123 Systems and it looks like Fisker is heading East too with Geely set to grab a majority shareholding.
Beware valet parking insurance loophole
Fri, 13 Jun 2014USING A VALET parking service could mean losing your car with no insurance cover. Drivers are being warned to check their insurance policies before handing over their car keys to valet parking attendants as more than half (51%) of the UK’s motor insurance policies do not cover this service. While valet parking companies provide insurance cover for their employees to drive your car, many insurance policies do not cover ‘damage to vehicle while in the control of valet parking staff.’ This means if your car is damaged or written off while it’s being parked or retrieved by valet parking staff, you could be left seriously out of pocket with no claim against the valet parking company.
