INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE:

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight(shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We DO NOT mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” – US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Please email any questions, emails answered as soon as possible. Additional pictures available upon request, please include your email address. I try to describe my items as best as I can, but may have missed something you need to know.

We combine shipping on multiple item purchases. The shipping calculator is not always accurate and doesn’t list all shipping options. Shipping may be lower than cost posted. I charge actual shipping and packaging material costs and a small fee for handling. If you are concerned about shipping costs, please ask before purchasing. If you email me your zip code, I will gladly work up a shipping estimate for you. Some fragile or delicate items may need special packaging to insure safe arrival. These require additional materials and handling that may not be accurately reflected in the shipping calculator or even our estimates. The exact cost is not known on these items until they are actually packaged and ready for shipment. Pick up is always welcome.

Many of the items we sell are vintage or no longer in production. All items are sold as is and there is no implied warranty. It is your responsibility to assure the items are compatible to your needs and other equipment, and are safe. By purchasing an item, you agree to take full responsibility and liability for the use, installation, maintenance, and operation of the item as well as any and all consequences which come out of its purchase, use and/or misuse.

CAR 20 Most Wanted of 2014: VW Golf R

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

By the CAR editorial team First Official Pictures 17 December 2013 15:00 Everyone knows the Golf GTI: fun, practical, affordable, understated, it’s the default hot hatch. The Golf R is more complex: unravel its DNA and you’ll find traces of the four-wheel drive, supercharged Mk2 Rallye, the front-drive Mk3 VR6 with its 2.8-litre V6 and leather interior, the Mk4 and Mk5 four-wheel-drive R32 and the Mk6 R that ditched the potent V6 for a punchier, more fuel-efficient turbo four. It’d be a nightmare of a custody battle.

Damaged during a World Land Speed Record attempt on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, USA, the nose of the car was sent back to Coventry for repairs and an updated design to help make the car more stable at very high speeds.

Ferrari 458 Italia recall?

Sat, 28 Aug 2010

Just 1 of at least 10 Ferrari 458 Italia Fires Update 1/9/2010: It took Ferrari a while to catch up with our story – well, a couple of days – but they got there. Ferrari say the fires on the 458 Italia are caused by the glue attaching a heat shield catching fire under high temperatures. Which sounds extremely odd, but that’s the explanation.
