McLaren Automotive Launch – LIVE on Cars UK
Sun, 28 Feb 2010McLaren Press Conference Live on Cars UK I know, it’s more than a year since we reported that Ron Dennis was stepping down from his involvement in McLaren F1 to ‘Spend more time with the Family New Cars’ and almost a year since we reported that McLaren Automotive was being created as an independent company. McLaren MP4-12C Sets 7.28:00 at Nurburgring +video
Mon, 24 Oct 2011McLaren MP4-12C sets a time at the Nurburgring We’ve had a spate of claims for lap records at the Nurburgring by production cars, and the latest to play the game is the McLaren MP4-12C, with McLaren claiming a time of 7.28:00. The last shenanigans we had with Nurburgring records was with the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR setting a Nurburgring time of 7:12.13 which, although very quick – and claimed as a Nurburgring record – wasn’t actually a record at all. Although we do have sympathy with our colonial cousins who believe its validity is greater than that of cars like the Radical.
Peugeot 308 S HDi 90 Review & Road Test part 2
Sat, 01 May 2010We continue our review / road test of the Peugeot 308 S The 308 range as a whole can stretch north of £22,000 as a base price, which is far too much money for what’s on offer. But this car – the Peugeot 308 S HDi 90 – comes in at a more reasonable £16,955. Our car did have a few extras thrown at it - metallic paint (£410) and SatNav (£715) – which pushed it up over £18k.
