The jury included design chiefs Chris Bangle (BMW), Peter Pfeiffer (Mercedes), Murat G�nak (VW), Martin Smith (Opel), Chris Bird (Ford) und Francois de Gaillard (Webasto). First prize went to Pforzheim student Philipp R�mers for his 'PFaeno' concept. The prize for Best Marketing Strategy went to Shi Jia from Tsinghua University.

Rare barn finds on sale: Jaguar E-Type and XK120 head to auction

The motoring world remains full of surprises – here we have a pair of classic Jaguars that had apparently been all but forgotten until they were pulled out of their respective hiding places earlier this year. The blue car is an early E-Type, the silver car an early steel-bodied XK120, both are heading to auction with Coys in the Ascot Sale on 26 October 2013. First sight of Pininfarina-designed Eurostar trains

Eurostar has unveiled the first images of its new Pininfarina-designed e320 trains that are currently under construction in Germany. A £700m overhaul of the Eurostar fleet has seen a refurbishment of its existing trains as well as the purchase of 10 new trains designed by the Italian design house. The entire new Eurostar fleet should be completed by 2015 with production of the new e320 trains and refurbishment of the existing trains well underway.
