‘Nemesis’ breaks UK electric car speed record

Sat, 29 Sep 2012

An electric car – based on a second-hand Lotus Exige – has broken the UK electric car speed record with a speed of 151.6mph. We’re not entirely sure how relevant a new UK speed record for an electric car is, but let’s be parochial and report it anyway. Vauxhall Adam (& Opel Adam): GM’s new ‘MINI’ in Europe

But now it has a name, and the name is Adam (we also got the Adam ‘writing’ out its own name on the roads of Frankfurt in a rather odd introduction to the new ‘Mini’ car – video below).

But in amongst there’s some good news for motorists; nothing that will change your world, but welcome nonetheless.
