The GAD 43 adapter unit offers enhanced autopilot interface capabilities for the G600/G500 flight display systems. It enables AHRS digital attitude/heading reference to be used with selected autopilots in place of costly-to-maintain ADI gyro indicators. It Thinks Like an AutopilotProviding analog attitude information for use with third-party autopilot systems, the GAD 43 adapter interfaces with the Garmin GDU 620 panel display for configuration and alerting, and with the GRS 77 remote AHRS unit for attitude, heading, and yaw input information. Thus, for attitude-based autopilots, the GAD 43 can emulate the system’s gyro interfaces (such as the familiar KI-256) with far more reliable AHRS data. Which, typically, allows the existing ADI or attitude gyro to be removed and replaced on the panel with a smaller and more affordable attitude indicator as one’s backup instrumentation. Simplifies Glass Cockpit RetrofitThe GAD 43 is designed as an open architecture system that uses typical XYZ, ARINC 429 and RS-232 interfaces. The GAD 43 also includes analog radar stabilization signals, bootstrap heading output, and a baro altitude correction interface. Higher prices for fuel and tires, and a larger drop in the resale value of cars, pushed the average cost of owning a sedan to $8,776 a year, according to AAA of Heathrow, Fla. That's up 3.4 percent from a year ago.

At the same time, the progressiveness of the academic structure always allowed students to take many different directions and the school became reference to art and design education. Graphic and product design disciplines were always part of the long curriculum of the school of architecture and urbanism (FAU USP), but only five years ago an independent design course was created.
