Garmin 3206 Chartplotter. I bought this new in 2010 when our prior Garmin Chartplotter was lost (or stolen). It came in a New Garmin box with all needed wire and a new antenna. Because it was the same we did not use the new wire or antenna. We just hooked up to our existing stuff. So the buyer gets the new wire and antenna. The photos Show the Charplotter just before we took it off the boat. We upgraded to a larger one. We never had any problems with it's operation. It has built in maps so you don't need any special chips. We mounted the bracket in a different way that required drilling a hole in both sides of the bracket near the base. You can see those holes in the photo. Three years ago we had a problem when we were removing it from the bracket at the end of the season. The threaded insert on the left side was frozen onto the bolt and came loose when we removed it from the mounting bracket. We reinstalled it with epoxy. The photos show the repaired side and the other side for comparison. The epoxy matched so it's hard to see. It's worked fine ever since.
We bought a used Navpod for it but never used it. There is a picture of it with the chartplotter in it. The navpod is not included in this auction. But if you are the winning bidder and you want it we will list it for $50 so you can buy it now. |

Is Stirling Moss a misogynist & homophobe? No, just a man from a bygone age.
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Sir Stirling Moss is a remarkable character; a proper ‘Boys Own’ hero from a bygone age where men where men and women cooked and cleaned and did as they were told (well, in public, at least). Now 83 years old, Stirling Moss is still a force to be reckoned with, still making public appearances, still driving and still opinionated. But his opinions are a bit out of kilter with modern sensibilities.
TVR sale latest
Thu, 08 Feb 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 08 February 2007 04:17 More than 30 parties have expressed an interest in buying the remnants of TVR, the sports car maker which crashed into administration over Christmas - and the factory could move to Asia. Administrator PKF (UK) LLP has spent the past month clarifying the assets of Blackpool Automotive Ltd, the company that ran the Blackpool factory, and it in fact holds several trump cards that could prevent the Russian owner switching production overseas. The sale advert in the Financial Times reveals that Blackpool Automotive controls the TVR trademark in Europe and the US, as well as all the intellectual property rights and tooling for the sports cars.
MG Zero Concept at Beijing
Sat, 24 Apr 2010The MG Zero Concept has been revealed at the Beijing Motor Show It’s good to see a new MG. True, it may not be everyone’s idea of where MG should be, but at least Morris Garages lives to die another day and stays alive as a marque, which is more than you can say for Riley or Hillman or Humber or Triumph or Rover or Austin or Morris or Alvis or… What this may be is the MG2 we snapped being loaded on to a trailer in China a few weeks ago, but there is so little detail from MG in the press release on the MG Zero concept they might just as well not have bothered. If we’re going to get treated to a new MG – concept or not – it would sort of help if we got some detail.
