Just removed from my plane in perfect working order. It receives XM weather and XM music plus it also receives traffic if you have a TIS capable transponder such as the Garmin 330 .
I had the unit affixed to the glare shield via RAM mount and running on ships power. That equipment is also included if you want it. Or use it with its own battery power. You can see that mount on the lower left of the photo.
Neat feature is you can disconnect the unit and take it with you and use the Streets Database in the car. Or take it home and practice with it connected to its cradle. Great for car rentals.

We didn’t think it would get to market as the Q3 RS (Audi will want to protect the RS badge) but it would almost certainly arrive. Which seems to have been confirmed.

Mon, 11 Nov 2013Volkswagen is debuting a new engine in its U.S. lineup, a 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged and direct-injected TSI engine known internally as EA888, and the first car to receive it will be the 2014 Volkswagen Passat. The Passat will stay the same on the outside for the 2014 model year, but the new 1.8-liter engine promises to deliver as much power as the outgoing 2.5-liter engine it is replacing, 170 hp, while gaining seven more lb-ft of torque for a total of 184 lb-ft.
