But through that time the engines – apart from in the R8 GT – have remained the same, as has the woeful R-Tronic gearbox.

Now in its second year, the conference bridges designers interests by providing workshops, leading design speakers and the opportunity to address common issues. More than 400 designers attended last year's inaugural event.
