GPSMAP® 176  MARINE GPS

The GPSMAP 176 provides full-featured navigation and quick map draws using a high speed RISC processor. The GPSMAP 176's 10-level grayscale display measures 3.75 inches diagonal and delivers a crisp picture thanks to a pixel count of 320 x 240.

This model is equipped with a built-in Americas Highway basemap and tide data for the United States. Additional detail can also be downloaded to GARMIN data cards from MapSource CD-ROMs and plugged into the GPSMAP 176.

WAAS-enabled, 12 parallel channel GPS receiver
• Adjustable quad-helix receiving antenna with remote antenna capability.
• Large numbers option for easy viewing.
• Backlit display and keypad.
Waterproof to IPX7 standards; can be immersed in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes (as long as you don't push the buttons).
• Weighs approximately 1.5 lbs with batteries (only 14.5 ounces without the mounting bracket!)
• Dimensions: Approximately 5.5" x 3.5" x 1.5" (handheld for those with large hands!)
• Stores up to 3000 waypoints with name and graphic symbol, and comments, as well as proximity support

50 reversible routes with 254 waypoints/route, plus MOB and TracBack modes
2500-point automatic track log; 15 saved tracks; 500 points per track let you retrace your path in both directions.

Area Calculation: Saved track area calculation (added in version 2.07)
• Built-in celestial tables provide for sun and moon by date and position
• Operates on four AA batteries for up to 15 hours (without backlighting), use a power/data cable to hardwire to a DC power source, or choose the option with an included cigarette lighter adapter for simple power supply

Cadillac releases second ELR teaser

Cadillac has released the second teaser image of the 2014 ELR electric vehicle ahead of its world debut next week in Detroit. The heavily-camouflaged ELR, which will be unveiled on 15 January, was photographed driving through the mountains of Southern California during development testing. The car will be a sporty two-door coupe that was previewed by the Converj concept, which made its debut at the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
