Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution not dead, yet

Perhaps as a reward to the public for buying its Mirage,* Mitsubishi has disclosed that it will not, in fact, kill off the gravel road-loving Lancer Evolution as soon as we thought. According to Mitsubishi, the Lancer Evolution will -- at the very least -- live out the 2015 model year, with North American-spec cars going into production this July. We're fairly sure it's not going to be a hybrid, either.

Ford has unveiled its Atlas Concept at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The Atlas Concept previews the designs and technologies of future Ford pickup trucks – particularly the F150 – and features a chiseled grille (complete with automatic shutters) and a wide stance designed to emphasize the ‘Built Ford Tough' image. A drop-down front wind spoiler lowers at highway speeds to improve underbody airflow.

Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept teased This was a surprise – the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept. With Mercedes take on a compact SUV with the new GLA revealed at Frankfurt in September, we’d expected Mercedes would put the 4WD power plant from the A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG under the skin of the new GLA to make a very hot compact SUV. But we hadn’t expected it yet.
