There are five briefs to choose from, set by GM's designers, and you're invited to submit your entry on the competition website: http://www.cardesigncontest.com/ Cadillac's brief offers an interesting challenge: looking to the horizon – while considering global luxury customers, competitors and trends – how would you design a Cadillac V-Series vehicle for an urban environment? The brief asks for your to design a B- or C-segment car that embodies Cadillac brand philosophy and vehicle attributes, and should give an evolutionary perspective on the firm's Art & Science design philosophy.

Wed, 24 Jun 20092010 European Car of the Year shortlist announced By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 24 June 2009 18:30 Early nominations for the 2010 European Car of the Year award have been announced, and the initial list of 29 cars includes a few that aren't even on sale yet. However, the European Car of the Year organisation expects the list of nominees to expand even further, before motoring journalist from across Europe vote in September 2009 to cull the entrants and create a seven-car shortlist. The overall winner will then be announced at the end of the year.
Race2Recovery: Wounded vets to compete in Dakar Rally
Thu, 13 Dec 2012The 2013 Dakar Rally will include five teams of disabled veterans in its 575-entry roster. An organization called Race2Recovery will enter 24 men and women, most veterans of the US and British armed forces and most of them wounded in battle. They'll take to the wilderness of South America with the rest of the competitors on Jan.
