Is this a Toyota GT 86 four-door saloon? There has been talk for some time that Toyota are going to stretch the GT 86 by 4″, add a couple of back doors and turn it in to a four-door coupe. And that’s exactly what the organisers of the Dubai International Motor Show – which starts tomorrow – are claiming on their Facebook page, together with a photo (above) which seems to show a four-door GT 86.

Tyre warning for drivers heading into Europe

BRITISH DRIVERS could face on the spot fines for using the wrong tyres when travelling in Europe this winter. Severe winter weather in many European countries means the normal summer tyres fitted to most UK cars will not offer enough grip for safe driving or braking in icy or snowy conditions. In Germany and some ski resorts, drivers are liable to on-the-spot fines if their car is not equipped with winter tyres or their car becomes stuck in slippery conditions due to the wrong tyres being fitted.

Land Rover reveals rejigged Discovery at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show

Land Rover has revealed a surprisingly comprehensive facelift for the Discovery range here at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show – and the firm has underlined the changes with some new badging for the Discovery range. Instead of having ‘LAND ROVER’ on the bonnet, the new Discovery has, well, ‘DISCOVERY’ lettering. That’s because Land Rover wants to make Discovery into its own brand, a bit like Range Rover: here at Frankfurt 2013, we’re seeing the first steps in this rebranding.
