For sale is a new Gentex / Donnelly Auto dim  Compass Temperature Mirror Wiring Harness Kit with a wire cover. To simplify things the connections are labeled. Be sure to read the whole ad and look at the picture of the actual kit to see what you get in the kit. This works with all of the 7 pin Gentex & Donnelly mirrors shown below *:

*This kit is not for Nissan OEM mirrors as the temp sensor is not compatible.*

*This kit is not for temperature & maplight capable mirrors. Please check our other auctions.*

Since you’re looking at this auction you're probably considering buying a complete wiring harness verses extending a short pigtail. Or Maybe the mirror your buying has no harness or pigtail. The advantage of buying a complete harness is first you're not scrambling to find the correct wire to use. Even if you get the correct wire the extended wire connections should get soldered and shrink sleeves placed over them. Now if your mirror has a temperature feature it's mandatory that all external connections be soldered. Because poor external connections corrode quickly and that will affect the accuracy of the temperature readings. With the kit are wire ties, solderless connectors for the connections to the vehicle harness, instructions, and even the obligatory wire cover.

Harness material quality is important too. Most parts supply wire and aftermarket kit wire is rated for 80 degrees C (175 degrees F). Most temp sensor wire loom is rated for 200 degrees or less. The current kits we are selling have Oem automotive spec (crosslink) wire and Oem spec loam. That's 125 degree C (255 degree F) wire and 300 degree wire loam for temp sensor kits. This is important because a car’s internal temperatures can exceed 175 degrees. Under hood temperatures often exceed 200 degrees so our wire loom is rated for 300 degrees and not the substandard 200 degree loom available. All our harness wire is Automotive crosslink wire, and not speaker wire or some other sub-standard wire. Crosslink wire is resistant to moisture, grease, oil, gasoline, and most acids and solvents. The other benefit of the crosslink wire is it's abrasion resistance. Why take a chance on inferior materials? Full instructions with professional support provided via email.

If you choose First Class Mail shipping you may experience delays.  Contact the seller via question if an item is missing or tracking is incorrect. Please when contacting sellers do not start an item not received.  At least for 2 weeks after it was due. It's a black mark for no reason, and USPS first class mail messes up tracking on several items a year and it has cost the seller rating status and a fee increase. If a package is mia either one of us needs to contact the Post Office and 99 times out of 100 the package then shows up.

SEAT SUV confirmed for 2016

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

SEAT Compact SUV gets a green light for 2016 (SEAT IBX Concept pictured) SEAT has been threatening to build a compact SUV for years, and back in 2011 it revealed the IBX Concept (pictured above) which was the SEAT take on the Audi Q3. Now, finally, it seems VW has signed-off on SEAT’s compact SUV and the new compact SUV will hit the market in 2016, hopefully giving SEAT’s poor sales a real boost. Expected to be based on the VW MQB platform, the SEAT SUV should enable SEAT to properly compete in Europe and tap in to a market that has grown by 40 per cent in the last few years whilst SEAT’s existing market for its cars has shrunk and been compromised by a weak economy in Europe where the vast majority of SEAT’s sales are made.

Volkswagen hits back, weighs making a bid for Porsche

Thu, 23 Apr 2009

Volkswagen is considering an audacious reverse-takeover bid for its majority shareholder, Porsche, in a twist in the drawn-out struggle for control between the two German carmakers. The Volkswagen Group's supervisory board is said to be weighing the possibility of purchasing Porsche AG, in a move that would relieve its holding company, Porsche SE, of massive debt that industry analysts suggest the company may not be able to fund should the world's financial crisis drag on well into 2010--a scenario put forward this week by the International Monetary Fund. The secret plan emerged as shareholders were set to convene at Volkswagen's annual meeting on Thursday, and it comes after Porsche revealed that it is carrying some 9 billion euros ($11.73 billion) in debt, most of it owing to interest on loans taken out to purchase its 50.8 percent stake in VW.
