Up for auction is One Genuine Mercedes Benz Chrome rear bumper for Ponton models 219 220S 220SE sedan saloon. My father owned  many vintage Mercedes sports cars from the late 1950's to 1960's and he bought many parts directly from the Mercedes Benz factory that he never used and this is one of them. We have had this item sitting in our storage for 35 years and chrome is in good condition however buyer will have to put a few hours into reconditioning this bumper if they want to bring back that showroom shine. Chrome has developed spots of pitting, bumper has some scratches as well, but there are no dents or damage. Also underside is stamped "16 Jun1961" which I assume is from the factory of when it was made, it has no evidence of ever being mounted as you can see from rear side of bumper however it has developed some spots of rust as you can see from the picture posted in his listing. Overall you are getting an original bumper that came from Mercedes and not any type of reproduction that is in good shape. Please message me with any questions and I will get the best shipping rate via UPS for winning bidder once auction ends. Thank you!

Which should be no real surprise – by Ferrari standards the California is almost affordable.

Audi A1 1.6 TDI nips below 100g/km Co2

Tue, 21 Jun 2011

Audi A1 1.6 TDI - beat the congestion charge It’s of no use whatsoever for anything that actually matters, but getting below 100g/km Co2 is a big marketing deal for any car maker. Which is why Audi has been busy tweaking the Audi A1 1.6 TDI. Since launch, the A1 1.6 TDI has been churning out 105g/km which, although it’s all of tuppence a week, gets charged VED simply because the government has decreed Co2 to be the measure of a car’s frugality (it’s not).
