Range Rover Sport 2014 Product Video arrives

Just yesterday we had the first official confirmation from Land Rover of prices and specs for the new Range Rover Sport (although we actually published them some time ago) and Land Rover has now released a new product film of the RRS – a glorified video commercial, if you like. But unlike the RRS videos we had when the Sport first appeared, this video is much slicker and does manage to convey much better what the new Sport has on offer. From an opening showing design sketches of the new Sport, we get the Sport driving on a banked track, on deserted B-roads and off-road too.

Porsche 918 Spyder production sketch We first saw the Porsche 918 Spyder at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010; a hybrid supercar offering a gazillion miles to the gallon, Carrera GT levels of performance and fresh air from the exhaust pipe. By April last year our sources were telling us the 918 Spyder would go in to production after Porsche received 900 serious intents of interst on the car, and in June Porsche themselves confirmed the 918 Spyder would be built in limited numbers – just 918 cars for the world.

It has been well documented that texting while driving is a risky practice that results in thousands of motor-vehicle deaths each year. But talking rather than texting isn't really a better alternative, according to experts at the National Safety Council. The council is hoping to better explain why driving and talking on a cell phone is so dangerous by examining how the brain works when faced with multiple cognitive tasks.
