Toyota Prius T Spirit Review & Road Test (2010) Part 3

Sun, 12 Dec 2010

The Toyota Prius acquitted itself well in the snow - once we'd dug it out. It seems to us that the Prius is a mode of transport, not a car in the sense we enjoy a car. It’s not about feeding sensations back to the driver or a beautifully balanced chassis or an interior to die for or a design that makes little butterflies flutter in the pit of your stomach.

Aston Martin recall the majority of cars built since 2007

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Aston Martin are recalling most of their cars from the last six years A recall by Aston Martin of 17,590 cars might not seem a big deal when you’ve seen recalls from the likes of Toyota running in to the millions. But Aston Martin is a small, bespoke make of high-end luxury GTs and Sports cars, and 17,590 cars is three-quarters of all the cars they’ve built since November 2007. The recall affects all left-hand drive cars built from November 2007 to December 2013 and all right-hand drive cars from May 2012 to December 2013 and is because of some less than kosher plastics in the accelerator pedal.

One-off Ferrari 458 pays tribute to Niki Lauda

One-off Ferrari 458 pays tribute to Niki Lauda Younger readers might not see the connection between Ferrari and Niki Lauda; after all, Niki Lauda is Chairman of the Mercedes F1 team, not Ferrari. But back in the 1970s, Niki Lauda was the Prince of the Ferrari F1 team, notching up driver titles in 1975 and 1977 in a Ferrari (and suffering horrific burns at the Nurburgring in 1975). Although Lauda left Ferrari  in 1977 on less than good terms, the Ron Howard tribute film to the ’70s battle between Lauda and James Hunt – Rush – has obviously had an impact on one of Ferrari’s wealthier clients, who has commissioned Ferrari’s Tailor Made Programme to create a Ferrari 458 dedicated to Niki Lauda.
