Reasonable scanned copy of the De Havilland Gipsy Six Care & Maintenance Manual for the 200 HP Gipsy Six Aircraft Engine. This Engine was used in the DH88 Comet, Dragon Rapide, De Havilland Express, Perrcival Vega Gull and Mew Gull, Miles Mentor, Perrcival Petrel among others. 78 pages scanned as High resolution TIF images illustrated with various photographs. Also included on the CD is an Adobe Acrobat version of the manual for easy browsing (Adobe Reader 7.0 supplied on the CD). Original manual published by the DeHavilland Engine Company Limited circa 1938 and includes 29 amendments up to 1945. Comes in a nicely printed Jewel case. The news comes as little surprise after months of uncertainty and change at the top of VW. Bernhard built a reputation as an abrasive operator in his short stint as CEO of the Wolfsburg company and had numerous confrontations with unions as he pushed through more modern working practices.

Cummins works on a 28-mpg diesel with V8 power for pickups

Cummins Inc. is developing a four-cylinder diesel engine aimed at giving full-sized, light-duty pickups the power of a small V-8 and overall fuel economy of 28 mpg. The project began in September using the Nissan Titan pickup, which is being used to test the engine, pickuptruck.com reports.
