GM 'SUPERNAV' NAV RADIO THEFTLOCK RESET AND TESTING SERVICE

Auction is for GM navigation radio Theftlock reset service for the Cadillac "SuperNav" units  If you are reading this, you likely have "Theftlock", "Theftlocked", or "LOCKED" displayed on your factory GM navigation system display.  Or, perhaps you are considering installation of a surplus or salvage factory navigation console in your vehicle (from ebay, junk yard, etc), and know that it will not work unless it is unlocked.  Simply send us your nav unit and we will send it back unlocked and ready to work in your vehicle.  Great approach to upgrade a stock radio to a factory GPS navigation unit.

  • Upgrade your vehicle to a premium navigation system
  • No need to spend $1,200-$2,000 for a new navigation radio, use a much lower cost surplus or salvage unit from a similar vehicle
  • Unlock any compatible factory navigation system for use in your vehicle
  • Great service for do-it-yourselfers, avoid the dealer hassle

Very few GM dealers will provide this unlock service.  For the knowledgeable and helpful dealers who do provide the radio VIN relearn service, they will hit you up for an hour's labor charge - typically $85 or more.  Avoid the dealer hassle.

In addition to unlocking, we will also fully test your navigation unit - checking for any past fault codes that would indicate any intermittent problems.

Radio will be also be fully tested for...

  • Backlight illumination (blown bulbs, LEDs, etc)
  • All speaker outputs
  • Fault codes checked (DTCs)
  • CD/MP3 function (if present)
For navigation radios, these additional features will be tested...
  • Touch screen operation and display
  • GPS antenna input
  • Navigation disc recognition
  • DVD playback (on-screen and remote output)
  • Backup camera input
NOTE:  We don't perform radio repairs, but we will note any issues - should you wish to address them with the original provider of the unit.

Unlock service provided for all newer model SuperNav factory nav radios made for GM by Denso, Delphi, etc.  To confirm, please check the photos below and supported vehicle list.

Don't see your specific nav radio part number listed above?  Don't worry, that is only a partial list of supported units.  Though, please contact us with your specific vehicle and nav radio part number to ensure compatibility prior to bidding.

Simply send us your locked navigation radio via a shipping method of your choosing - tracking and insurance preferred.  Upon receipt of the unit, nav radio will be thoroughly tested (as detailed above) and unlocked.  Unit will then be promptly shipped back via UPS ground (included in auction price), or please inquire about expedited shipping if you require the unit sooner.

Have a different non-silverbox GM radio?  Please check our other listings for unlocking and testing of integrated navigation radios.  We also offer unlocking and testing for standalone GM XM digital radio receivers.

Thanks for bidding!

Additional Note:  Are you a salvage yard and have several radios which you would like tested and unlocked?  Please feel free to contact us with any volume pricing inquires.

Wed, 25 May 2011

Window sticker labels will show how new vehicles' fuel economy and emissions levels compare with the U.S. fleet average starting in the 2013 model year, the Obama administration said Wednesday. The new federal rules carry out a 2007 law that requires labels to put new vehicles in fleetwide context for fuel economy, greenhouse gases and smog-forming pollutants.

We like you, we just won't call you

Trusty readers have alerted us that they are receiving phone calls from people who claim to work for AutoWeek. These callers don't. We've also heard that these telemarketers are nasty--cursing, name-calling, all-around crude behavior.
