Design Contest: 2005 World Automotive Design Competition announced
Tue, 07 Dec 2004The World Automotive Design Competition, sponsored by Alias and hosted by the Canadian International Auto Show, is back with more participating design schools and an impressive list of prizes. Design students from twenty-six schools around the world have been invited to design a World Car that visually identifies its cultural origins and, at the same time, has appeal, and can be sold throughout the world, in at least five countries on three continents. The vehicle should be easily recognized as coming from a particular culture.
Need for Speed Ford Mustang sells for $300,000

Unfortunately, the winning bidder might be disappointed to find out that in real life it doesn’t make anywhere near the 900hp claimed in the film, instead running a stock 420hp. Tue, 03 Aug 2010Just when it seems as if all we are hearing about are Chevrolet Volts and Nissan Leafs (Leaves?), turns out thieves still love their performance cars and monstrous SUVs and trucks. The Cadillac Escalade remains the most stolen car in the United States, according to the Highway Loss Data Institute. The 'Sclade was followed by the Ford F250 pickup, the Infiniti G37, the Hemi Dodge Charger (not the V6 though!) and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
