I have a lightly used OEM GM Alternator for sale.
This came out of my 2008 Silverado with only 12000 miles, I work from home and the Silverado didn't get driven much.
Here's what happened. In early 2012, the battery in the Silverado kept going dead, I took the alternator to my local parts store and had them test it. It tested perfect so I put it back in and bought a new battery.
All good for about a week, and then the battery went dead again.
Getting frustrated, I decided to buy a new Alternator anyway just in case there was some kind of problem that didn't show up when it was tested.
Charged the battery, all good for a couple days, dead battery again.
Come to find out, the brand new Sears Gold battery I just bought had a bad cell...the problem was the battery all along.
I just left the new Alternator installed and saved this one in case I ever needed it, but I ended up selling the truck so I really have no use for this any more.
So...this is a used Alternator out of a 2008 Silverado with only 12000 miles on it. Tested working perfectly by my local auto parts store.
Should have lots of life left in it.
If you need one of these, save lots of money over buying new!
