Mercedes GLA Concept: OFFICIAL
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Aimed at cars like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the GLA is a good-looking compact SUV that carries much of what’s good about the new A-Class, raises its ride height, adds a few butch bits and creates a car that will probably have more appeal for owners of the old A-Class than the new A-Class does. The GLA heading for the Shanghai Motor Show sports a 2.0 litre turbo with 208bp, 4MATIC and a 7G-DCT gearbox – which we guess makes it a GLA 250 – and sports something new – laser headlights that function as projectors. The GLA features a pair of cameras on the front of the roof rails that can take 3D HD images and can be removed if you want to use them for mountain biking or jet-skiingĀ or whatever floats your sporty boat.
Historic Motoring Awards Car of the Year 2013 shortlist revealed
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Think of this as the alternative Car of the Year competition. You won't find any diesel hatchbacks, practical MPVs or mk7 Volkswagen Golfs in the 2013 International Historic Motoring Awards. The awards celebrate the 'best of the best' in the international historic motoring industry, with the 'Birkin' Bentley picking up the award in 2012.
Audi A1 – the tease begins + video
Tue, 15 Dec 2009Audi have started the tease for the A1 We’ve known the Audi A1 has been coming for years. For goodness sakes, we’ve seen two concepts for it and had the head of Audi’s production plant in Belgium saying (wrongly, as it turned out) that production of the Audi A1 would start in October 2009. But that’s not going to stop Audi playing at ‘Tease’, so with production of the A1 now scheduled to start in early 2010 they’ve started to tease the new MINI-competing Audi.
