Camouflaged Cadillac ELR spotted on the road
Mon, 03 Sep 2012Autoweek reader Josh Lindquist recently snapped these photos of what may be a camouflaged Cadillac ELR cruising around metropolitan Detroit. While the photos don't show the car from every angle, its lines are strikingly similar to those on the ELR featured on Cadillac's official Web site. The ELR first appeared as the Cadillac Converj concept in 2009.
Audi RS6 Avant is the Audi R18 e-tron quattro for the road (video)
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Audi compare the Audi R18 e-tron quattro (pictured) to the RS6 Avant We’re not entirely sure how Audi has come to the conclusion that the RS6 Avant is comparable to the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, but they have. In a new video to promote the RS6 Avant – perhaps the pick of the crop of current uber-estates – Audi has the e-tron quattro out on the road in a series of familiar everyday pursuits. So we get the e-tron quattro waiting patiently to collect hubby from the airport, as the c ar to drive to the hills to ride a mountain bike, outside a hotel with luggage on the pavement, collecting the kids from school, parked on the river bank for a fishing trip and as a dog transporter.
Great mileage? King Midget did that 50 years ago
Tue, 13 Jul 2010WITH VIDEO -- As the world grapples with ever-decreasing stocks of inexpensive oil and ever-increasing traffic, the diminutive King Midget two-seater--made in the thousands from 1946 to 1970--starts to look pretty good. Again. "These cars will be the future kings of the road," said Petersen Automotive Museum director, and huge King Midget enthusiast, Dick Messer.
