Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M (2008) first official photos

Unveiled this past weekend at Ferrari’s World Finals end-of-season gig at Mugello, just 499 Scuderia Spider 16Ms will be built, each costing over £180,000. Ferrari says its latest model has been built to celebrate the Prancing Horse’s 16th F1 Constructor’s title, hence the ‘16M’.

Drivers against remote stopping devices

EU PLANS to introduced remote stopping devices that can be activated by the police in an emergency have been met with concern by drivers. Under the proposed legislation a six-year timetable for remote stopping devices is planned with the aim of police being able to bring dangerous high-speed car chases to a halt. A device would be fitted to all cars that would allow a central control room to cut the ignition and fuel supply of any vehicle.

Fabrizio Giugiaro conferred honorary doctorate

Fabrizio Giugiaro, Co-Chairman and Styling Director of Italdesign Giugiaro, has been given an honorary Doctorate by the Georgian Technical University (GTU) for his achievements in the fields of architecture and the technology and design of the automobile as well as his support in the creation and promotion of the institution's International School of design.
