Connecting Rods

We bought out another vender at a swap meet a while back, and these were in his stash.  The description on the tag is what the previous guy had on them, and we believe it to be accurate but be sure to look at the photos carefully and make up your own mind.  No returns, you buy it it's yours.  Part number is 24292-52 and 24296-52.  If you are looking at these you know you will probably have to condition races/bushings/bearings before use.  From what I can find they fit sportsters and K Models, but don't take our word for it -- do your own research.

A few things you should know about us:

Twisted Cycles is an actual, honest to god motor sickle shop in Fort Worth Texas. We are located on 2220 Jacksboro Highway and you are free to come by at any time before the auction ends so that you can check out the item, or the tons of other used parts we have piled up.

DON'T ASK to make a deal on this outside of eBay  We treat everyone honestly and above board even when they don't deserve it.  That means we aren't going to rip you off, we aren't going to rip off eBay or PayPal and we are going to try to avoid getting burned ourselves. EBay provides a service, they get to charge for it, and they get to set the price. I don't always like their policies, but if I use them to sell something I'm going to give them their cut.

We want you to know what your getting:

We take high resolution photos from a lot of angles of most things because we want you to see what you are getting. Do your research, look at the photos and be sure it's what you want. Read our feedback, bid with confidence.

When your order will ship (and how):

Traditionally motorcycle shops are closed on Mondays because races are held on the weekend and that gives you Monday to recover. Only one of our guys races, but the rest of us stay home in solidarity (sounds better than admitting we just want to go riding). We are open Tuesday through Saturday, and we try to make sure our auctions end on Sunday. That means your parts will probably ship out on Tuesday (if you have paid already), and on rare occasions Wednesday. If you are in town and want to do local pickup that's fine.

We ship most things by USPS, because I've found there is a better chance of it getting there in one piece than the other guys. Their tracking system is not the best however. Once your package is picked up it can take up to 48 hours for it to show up in the system. In the case of priority mail it could be already bolted on your bike before the post office even shows its been picked up. Don't panic, it's going to get there and if it doesn't you get your money back.

Redesigned Ford Mustang scores high mpg for V8

Tue, 16 Mar 2010

Completing the fuel-economy story for the redesigned 2011 Mustang, Ford said on Tuesday that the V8-powered pony car is rated at 26 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg in city driving. That compares with a 16 mpg/24 mpg city/highway rating for the 2010 Mustang. The highway rating was achieved with the six-speed manual transmission.

New details on Mercedes' Porsche 911 fighter

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Mercedes-Benz's AMG performance-car division is forging ahead with development of its new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 powered sports car, nine months before it is scheduled to be revealed at the 2014 German Grand Prix. Known to insiders by its code name, “C190” the two-seat coupe has been conceived to follow in the wheel tracks of the four-year-old SLS at the head of the German carmaker's lineup, aiming to challenge the heady performance and everyday driving appeal of the latest Porsche 911 Turbo at a price that insiders suggest will be in the region of $160,000 when North American sales begin in early 2015. Originally, AMG's new front-engined sports car was tipped to revive the iconic SLC name first used by the SL coupe back in 1971.

Mercedes CL facelift (2010): first official photos

Fri, 02 Jul 2010

This is the newly facelifted Mercedes CL500; although previously tipped to be called the S-Class Coupé, Mercedes stuck with the original name after all. Alongside the soon-to-be industry-standard daytime running lights and updated grille, lights and exhaust, most of the changes on the new 2010 Merc CL are in areas you can't see. The biggest change is in the engine bay: out goes the old 5.5-litre V8 and in comes a more powerful and economical 4.7-litre bi-turbo.
