THESE ARE THE SAME AS THE HARLEY RIVETED HASP BUT MOUNT WITH EITHER SCREWS OR RIVITS BECAUSE I MODIFIED THEM TO WORK. HARLEY DOES NOT HAVE A SCREW ON HASP TO FIT MOST TOUR PACK LIDS, (EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF SOME OLDER LIDS). THE 1401 SCREW ON HASP WAS MOSTLY USED ON OLDER HARD BAGS. IF YOUR HASP, THE PART THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE LID, IS NOT RIVETED ON, CONTACT ME PRIOR TO PURCHASING AND I CAN ACCOMODATE YOUR NEEDS. ALL OF THE CORRECT STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS YOU WILL NEED TO ATTACH THE NEW LATCH AND HASP ARE INCLUDED AND ARE NOT SELF-TAPPING. DON'T FORGET ABOUT MY NEW DIRECTIONS THAT I INCLUDE TO MAKE EVERYTHING WORK. MOUNTING THE SCREW LID HASP IS EASY WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! ALSO, USING THE WRONG SCREW LENGTH CAN PREVENT THE LATCH FROM WORKING OR RUIN THE MOUNTINGS, SO I MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER SCREWS. LATCHES ARE OEM, NOT AFTER-MARKET. OEM IS THE TERM USED TO STATE THEY ARE MANUFACTURED BY THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE RIGHT PART. I DO NOT LIST PART NUMBERS BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN CHANGED TOO MANY TIMES. THESE LATCHES WILL FIT 1980 TO 2012. THIS LATCH WILL FIT THE NEW SPACERS AS WELL AS THE OLD SPACERS WITH A MINOR MODIFICATION TO THE OLD PLASTIC SPACER WHICH I WILL EXPLAIN IN THE NEW DIRECTION SHEET. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO MAKE ANY CHANGE TO YOUR TOUR PACK UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO ATTACH YOUR SPACER PRIOR TO ATTACHING THE LATCH AS MY DIRECTIONS ILLUSTRATE; THEREFORE, YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. THEY WILL ALSO REPLACE THE OLDER STYLE MADE BY PRESTO WHEN REPLACING BOTH HASP AND LATCH WHICH ARE INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. THE OLDER STYLE LOOKS SIMILAR BUT PART OF THE UPPER HASP SHOWS THROUGH THE LATCH FACE WHEN CLOSED. THE LOWER LATCH PART THAT ATTACHES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TOUR PACK, WHEN RECEIVED NEW FROM HARLEY, HAVE HOLES REQUIRING THE USE OF THE ORIGINAL SELF TAPPING SCREWS ONLY. I HAVE THREADED THE SCREW HOLES MAKING INSTALLING THEM A BREEZE WITH THE INCLUDED NON-SELF TAPPING SCREWS. YOU WILL BE BETTER OFF IF YOU DON'T USE YOUR ORIGINAL SELF TAPPING SCREWS. THE TIP OF THE SELF TAPPING SCREWS ARE NOT A FULL THREAD TO THE END WHICH IS A MAJOR REASON FOR POOR GRIPPING AND FAILURE OF THE SCREW! YOU DO NOT NEED 2 DIFFERENT HASPS. YOU NEED ONLY THE ONE THAT WORKS AND I CAN SUPPLY OTHERS IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS. IF YOUR HASP IS OR WAS RIVETED ON, MY STANDARD MODIFIED HASP IS THE ONLY SCREW ON THAT WILL WORK CORRECTLY. Announced in Detroit at Fiat-Chrysler HQ, Alfa Romeo chief technology officer Harald Wester revealed the mantra for the brand includes pushing volumes up from 74,000 sales in 2013, to around 400,000 by 2018. Owners claim Ford V6 EcoBoost engine defects
Thu, 16 May 2013Ford Motor Co. is being sued by three vehicle owners in Ohio because of alleged defects in the automaker's six-cylinder EcoBoost engine. According to the lawsuit, the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine "contained serious latent design, manufacturing, or assembly defects" that cause vehicles to shake, misfire and rapidly lose power.
