MADE IN THE USA!

Ask and you shall receive! We have been asked for nearly a decade to build hardtails for Shovels, and now that these bikes are coming down in price we are getting the request more and more so here they are! We use OEM diameter DOM tubing top and bottom for a seamless joint at the weld points. We have built the rear transmission plate mounts into the hardtail section for better strength and to help with proper alignment as well as machined telescoping slugs at the weld points. At the top we tack weld in a cross member that also aids with alignment. This can be welded in against the original frame casting as extra support, or can be removed once the frames have been tack welded together for more of an OEM look (like we did on the frame pictured. We did not polish the welds for the photos so you can see the fitment better) Machined dome endcaps for the tube ends at the axle plates, precision machined axle adjusters, transmission plate mounts and tightly coped tubing means a perfect fit before any welding is done. We meticulously TIG weld these entire frames in a fixture. They work with your stock axle and wheel spacers and will come with a brake tab for disc brakes. Fits swingarm frames through 1984.

DOES NOT require removing your engine! This hardtail bolts on to your bike on the bottom through the rear engine/transmission mounts to help align it, and welds onto the top AND the bottom via a set of curved gussets that fit your frame and it also welds together behind the battery box. VERY STRONG. Cheaply made Chinese hardtail kits you see elsewhere bolt only to your transmission on the bottom and only weld on the top. You have the welder fired up to weld the top, why not weld the bottom too! You can with our kit! CNC cut gussets come with the hardtail section that flow with the curve of your frame for a perfect fit and easy weld. This is MUCH stronger than just bolting it! The lines are perfect on this hardtail, with the top tubes flowing at the perfect angle to compliment the rest of the bike. These are made IN HOUSE by us! The frames are made from 1 1/4" D.O.M. Tubing. The frame stretches the wheel base approximately 2 1/2" and will fit a 130 to 150 tire using your stock pulleys or you can do a chain conversion.  Approximately 4" of ground clearance depending on what tire you use. Oil tank and mount are not included, but are available separately, as well as fenders, sissy bars, seats, seat springs, seat hinges, battery boxes, longer belts, etc. We can set you up with everything you need!

Pick-ups do poorly in latest Euro NCAP tests

Tue, 26 Feb 2008

By Mark Nichol Motor Industry 26 February 2008 11:54 Euro NCAP released its latest crash test results today, and it’s bad news for pick-up drivers. Only three picks-ups were tested, but they achieved some appalling results, with the Nissan Navara registering just one star for adult crash protection. Pick-up registrations increased by 7.2 percent in Europe last year and are increasingly being used as family transport.

'Barn find' Ferrari 330 GTS set to fetch $2 million

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

There are two things that strike us about so-called 'barn finds'. One - how do you actually 'lose' a car, only to discover it a number of years later? And secondly - how come we never stumble across an old motor when touring the countryside?
