It was a real surprise that Honda decided to pull out of F1 for 2009. True, they haven’t yet seen the sort of success that their efforts, and money, should have yielded, but they have a superb product and, more importantly, potentially one of the best set-ups in F1 led by the best of the best, Ross Braun, who was pretty much responsible for the renaissance at Ferrari and Michael Shumacher’s domination of the sport. But there could well be a light at the end of the tunnel for the Honda F1 Team.

The Jaguar F-Type Coupe (pictured) makes its UK debut on Sunday The star of the Los Angeles Auto Show – and now the star car in Jaguar’s lineup – was the very appealing Jaguar F-Type Coupe. And now the UK is about to get – a very limited – public viewing of Jaguar’s new |F-Type Coupe. This coming Sunday – the 8th December – sees theĀ Jaguar Academy of Sport Annual Awards at the Royal Opera House in London and, apart from the Sports Stars, the star of the night will be the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe.

Collaborating as they do in motorsport, Woking and Stuttgart decided to build a road car that showcased their full-bodied technical know-how. Perhaps the mixed messages from F1-centric McLaren and luxury brand Merc, or the untold pressure of the seminal F1, were too much, for the SLR has failed to worm its way into our affections.
