Up for bid is a used Haynes Owner’s Workshop Manual for 1977 – 1983 Mazda GLC vehicles – all rear wheel drive models with 77.6 ci (1.3L), 86.4 ci (1.4L) and 90.9 ci (1.5L) engines. The manual has over 210+ pages of valuable information that covers tune ups and maintenance, engines, general engine overhaul procedures, cooling, heating and air conditioning systems, fuel and exhaust systems, engine electrical systems, emissions and engine control systems, manual transaxle, automatic transaxle, clutch and drive axles, brakes, suspension and steering systems, body, chassis electrical system and wiring diagrams. This is a must for the do-it-yourself mechanic. The manual is in great useable condition, but does show signs of use and wear (see PIC). On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being brand new, I’d rate this manual at an easy 9.4 for its overall condition. As Jaguar and Land Rover expand their model range and move to aluminium construction, they plan to share more platforms. Jaguar has been using an aluminium platform for the XJ for some time – long before the latest XJ came along. The aluminium platform the XJ uses is just the start for Jaguar Land Rover, as we reported back in 2009, and it seems that JLR are planning to use the move to aluminium underpinnings to cut their platforms to just two or three.
