Alan Mulally spells out the future
Sun, 09 Jan 2011Ford CEO Alan Mulally is famously on-message, handing out business-card-size versions of his business plan to all and sundry, including his “One Ford” mantra. “One Ford” covers a lot of ground, but it's shorthand for Ford becoming a single entity where the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Volvo V70
Tue, 06 Feb 2007Volvo has just released details of the all-new Volvo V70 wagon. With its more athletic lines, fast windscreen angle, blacked-out side pillars and C30-inspired taillights, the V70's style is said to hint at its newfound on-road dynamism. The rear end features an unusual design where the tailgate takes the upper area of lamps with it when opened, giving the advantage of making the trunk aperture larger than before.
Mercedes S-Class production increased to meet demand
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Mercedes S-Class production increased We’ve reported recently on the strong sales Mercedes is enjoying with the new A-Class (and its swoopy-coupe sibling CLA), but it’s not just Mercedes compact cars that are flying out of showrooms. Mercedes has revealed it’s having to increase production at its plant inĀ Sindelfingen by prolonging shifts by 74 minutes (after increasing them by 30 minutes earlier this year) in order to churn out enough S-Class cars to meet strong demand. But it’s not just the S-Class (as well as the A-Class cars) that are selling strongly, Mercedes are also upping production atĀ Bremen to build more GLK and C-Class models.
