Helmet Sizing Tips Your motorcycle helmet fit is critical to the comfort and enjoyment of your helmet. It also plays a critical role in the performance of your helmet in the event of a collision. Never wear a motorcycle helmet without making sure you have a proper snug fit (not too tight, and not too loose - just right!) There are several methods and tricks to size a motorcycle helmet. We recommend the following method: 1. Estimate your size Get a flexible tape measure. If you do not have a cloth measure tape, then you can tape 2 pieces of paper together, mark it and measure the paper. Wrap the tape measure around your head over the tip of your ears, 1 inch over your eyebrows and the widest part of your head. Pull the tape comfortably tight in order to achieve best results. Measure 2-3 times for a more accurate measurement. Use size chart to determine best fit. Often times your head measurement may fall between two helmet sizes. When this occurs you should first try the smaller size. The Size Chart is provided by the manufacturer and does not guarantee a perfect fit. Please use this chart as a guide only. 2. Not too tight Once you have your new motorcycle helmet, put the helmet on by grasping the chin strap in each hand and pulling it on over your ears until you feel the top portion of the motorcycle helmet touch. Check for the following red flags:
3. Not too loose Once you have found a motorcycle helmet that feels comfortable and snug, you must make sure that it is not too loose. To do this, securely fasten the chin strap, grasp the helmet chin bar or sides firmly with one hand and try to move the helmet from side to side and up and down. If the motorcycle helmet slides on your skin and hair, it is too large. If your scalp and skin want to move with the helmet, the fit is about right. 4. Just Right One final check. Reach back to the back of the motorcycle helmet and try to rotate the helmet as far down and forward as possible, then as far backward as possible. If the motorcycle helmet feels as if it might slide off in either direction, the motorcycle helmet is either too big or the chin strap was not securely fastened. If you passed these tests, you now have a properly fitting helmet that will maximize safety and minimize wind noise as well! New Jaguar XJ – Detail Review
Sat, 11 Jul 2009The new Jaguar XJ - we look in detail at what's on offer The Launch Despite our moans about some of the teases that went on in the run-up to the launch of the XJ, we can’t dispute that they worked for Jaguar. The interest was pretty much unprecedented, and one or two big car web sites crashed during the day of the launch because of huge numbers of visitors looking for information on the new XJ. We didn’t crash (thankfully) but our traffic doubled on the day, and thousands of you watched the launch live on Cars UK.

Exclusive First Sight: Pininfarina Sergio concept
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Upon receiving the call from Pininfarina's PR man, asking if Car Design News would like to head to Torino for a preview of its latest concept car (not a hard offer to accept), we had no other information than its name – Sergio – and an abstract teaser shot of a detail. Driving through lovely, crumbly Turin, and out into the zona industriale towards Pininfaina's Cambiano base, the fear strikes: what if the car's a disappointment? What if it's simply some unremarkable supermini – maybe even an electric one?
