by Don Alexander
Vehicle dynamics ~ Suspension mods and setup - Anti-roll bars ~ Camber adjust
Plenty of drivers "think" they know the secrets to getting the most out of their cars when it comes to performance handling upgrades and setup. But most of these drivers have been misinformed and don't know how off-base and even counterproductive many commonly accepted theories can be. Veteran driver and setup wizard Don Alexander has spent decades learning the ins and outs of high-performance handling and truly understands how to get the most out of any car, whether it's for autocrossing, road racing, drag racing, rallying, or just getting the most fun out of your daily commute or weekend road trip.
High-Performance Handling for Street or Track strips away the myths and misconceptions surrounding vehicle dynamics and handling to give you the information and strategies you need to make the right suspension modifications, choose the right aftermarket parts and tires, and gather the crucial data that will allow you to maximize your car's performance. You will also benefit from Alexander's years of experience behind the wheel to learn race-proven driving techniques that will help you to shave seconds off your lap times and make your everyday driving more fun and engaging. Whether you are a novice looking to take your stock hatchback to a track day or a veteran who wants to make that next step up the podium, High-Performance Handling for Street or Track will help you reach your goals.

The 2014 Formula One season is only weeks away. With 2.4-litre V8 engines in the bin and turbocharged 1.6-litre V6s with twice the electrical boost power powering the racers, a controverdial triple-points rule in Abu Dhabi, and wild-looking new nosecones thanks to the latest FIA crash regulations, the class of 2014’s machines are the most radically different F1 cars in decades. If the old adage of a pretty car being a winning car rings true this season, we suspect Sauber, Red Bull and Marussia will squabble for the title, with Caterham surprised to see themselves battling Lotus and Toro Rosso at the back of the field.

This is the Renault Kangoo ZE, just unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. It’s a preview of the Kangoo-based electric commercial vehicle that Renault will sell from 2011. That white paint is practical – it’s heat-reflective and helps to prevent temperature fluctuations, as does the Thermos-style double-layer bodywork.
