Here is a pair of hulls from a Hobie Cat 16 foot catamaran. The side stays are included, as well as the rudder castings. These parts alone are worth $100.00. I am asking $175.00 for the complete set of two hulls, which includes the mounted hardware that you see in the pictures. Because of the size, there is no shipping. This is a local pick up only. Hulls are located just north of Bay City Michigan, just west of the Saginaw Bay. ( Twenty miles north of Saginaw Michigan)

One hull (Starboard ) seems to be in good sturdy condition, the other hull ( Port ) has a bit of an area in the fiberglass, where it seems a bit soft. This is on the top of the hull, forward of the main crossbeam post. I am not sure if that means it is still useable or not, so  therefore I am selling the parts "As Is" and you can determine their usefulness. I am sure that just one hull, to purchase new, would be $1000.00 or more. I heard that Hobie will not sell an individual hull. You probably know more than I do on this. I have never sailed these hulls.

I washed the hulls for the photos, so they are wet and look to have more shine than they actually have. I believe there are some good parts here for a Hobie 16 owner. Please ask questions if unsure before bidding. I will help you load these onto a trailer for free.

Car making mysterious noises? There's an app for that

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

You may pride yourself on your ability to diagnose a developing engine problem by sound alone, and then replicate said mystery sound, Click-and-Clack-style, to amuse/annoy your friends and coworkers. ClingClanger is a new phone app that's designed for the rest of the world -- those who can't identify piston slap by sound and are startled by the clicking caused by a dying battery. The natural impulse is to simply crank up the radio and hope the noise/problem goes away.

Is the McLaren P1 order book about to close?

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

We’re hearing that McLaren is ready to close the order book for their P1 supercar before the specification – or the car – have been fully revealed. We’ve had the reveal of the P1 Concept – and seen it floating round the world as McLaren drum up potential customers with enormous bottomless pockets – and we’ve even seen the P1 on the move as McLaren shake down the development version of the P1. But so far we haven’t had the full specs of the P1 revealed and, as far as we can tell, McLaren hasn’t even divulged the full details of the P1′s power and performance to potential customers – no matter how wealthy they are.

Drink Drive Message Failing As One In 15 Fail Breath-Tests

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

ROAD safety charity Brake has issued an appeal to the public to not drink and drive this summer and all year-round, as figures from the Association of Chief Police Officer's (ACPO) summer drink drive enforcement campaign, show one in 15 of those breath-tested were over the limit. During the national campaign, which ran from 1 June to 30 June, 63,688 breath tests were administered, of which 4,108 (6.5%, or one in 15) were failed or refused. This is 1.3% more than during the 2013 campaign.
