You are bidding on a Holley 600 CFM High Performance Carburetor.  This is the later version of the 1850 with power valve blowout protection and non adjustable preset floats.   It was used a short time and replaced with a larger carb after some engine modifications.  Here is your chance to bolt on some real horsepower to your Ford or other engine.  It has an electric choke and it does have the Ford kickdown, in case you have an automatic transmission.  The choke has been tested and works great and all adjustments have been returned to factory settings.  It is ready to bolt on, adjust to your setup, and go racing.  NOTE:  Some of you have asked about inside the carb.  I have just posted a photo showing the front bowl removed.  It is as clean or cleaner inside than it is outside.  Absolutely as it came from the factory.  It will come shipped in a cushioned box.  Shipping will be $19.95 anywhere in the US (US Only).

The next presidential limousine might look like this

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

A few days ago, the United States Secret Service posted the bid requirements for a new presidential limousine, which is set to debut during the 2017 inauguration of our nation's 45th chief executive. It's hard to believe that the General Motors-built Cadillac dubbed "The Beast" is already due for replacement, but the fleet of presidential limousines is cycled every four or eight years, with bids accepted from any American automaker. We'll spoil the show for you: the odds of a company other than General Motors winning the bid is pretty slim.

Fri, 02 Jan 2009

And there was us thinking those pretty LEDs at the front end of recent Audis (and others) where just a bit of bling. It transpires that the new V10 version of the Audi R8 is to be the first car in the world to be fitted with LED headlights. So what, you may say?

Henrik Fisker leaves his eponymous company

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Henrik Fisker, co-founder of Fisker Automotive, has resigned from the company as Fisker seeks funding to move forward. But Henrik Fisker managed to convince the car world his Fisker Karma was credible, even if its gestation has been plagued by problems,  the latest of which has been the demise of its battery supplier – A123 Systems – and the wrecking of a dock full of seemingly uninsured Karmas by Hurricane Sandy. The current problems at Fisker has seen them seeking a new investor, with two Chinese companies – Geely and Dohnfeng – vying to take a majority stake in Fisker Automotive and help Fisker recover sales of the Karma and move on with Project Nina, the smaller Fisker Atlantic.
