The Tesla Roadster is a great achievement – if madly expensive for what it is (an electric Lotus) – and the work Koenigsegg are doing with the Quant is very exciting. Hennessey Performance upgrades the Ford Mustang Boss 302
Wed, 31 Aug 2011The tuner guys at Hennessey Performance took the Ford Mustang Boss 302 behind their curtain, plopped a supercharger on top--among other things--and headed to the drag strip. The outcome? Hennessey says 11.9 seconds at 124 mph for the quarter-mile--and that's with a 0-to-60-mph time at a Porsche-like 3.9 seconds.
Chrysler says it needs another $2 billion in aid
Tue, 17 Feb 2009In submitting its viability plan to the federal government on Tuesday, Chrysler asked for an additional $2 billion beyond the $7 billion in loans it sought late last year and outlined further steps to cut costs. Chrysler said it will reduce fixed costs by an additional $700 million, cut 100,000 more units of production capacity, discontinue three more model lines and sell $300 million more in assets.
